I have a Phillips one but keep having problems

CM are you sure yours has a seperate water tank as the cheapest I have seen is £100+ and mine cost about that

I have a Breville, ultraglide for which I paid £105 in a sale. I find it extremely good. I hate ironing but this iron makes the job so easy. I would recommend it to anyone.

Try Tchibo stream iron £12.99 it is 2000 watt, but has water tank built in,
also I brought there easy glide ironing board cover which has a special coating which makes a difference.It good results and value for money.

my wife bought a polti iron with a seperate tank, it took ages to heat up and was a pain in the a**, so when she kicked me out and i had to by my own i went for a £28 one from tescos, its a tefal super glide or something and its really good.

i have a phillips steam generator iron and i paid £80 and it is fine

I bought mine from Aldi it's the best £35 I've ever spent!!
