Journey by road from Bangalore to Mumbai is absolutely safe. It is a very busy route, with good facilities alongside the highway at regular distances.

The journey may take 18-20 hours and for your own safety, it is advisable to take due rest in between the driving continuously.

The roads from Bangalore to Mumbai are pretty good, and most of the places it is double road. So it is safe to go by road.
But if the night journey is avoided it is better. Or atleast yuou reach a big town before midnight and have a nap for 4 or 5 hours(in Car or a lodge) and start by 5.AM it will be very safe drive. Please ensure that you do not halt near any Petrol bunks that are in lonely places are isolated places outside the city during night...All the best and have a safe ride.

Bangalore to Mumbai is about 24 hours by car. The route would be Bangalore, Hubli, Belgaum, Pune and Mumbai.

What is the safe you are talking ? In terms of what ? Accidents ? It is a highway, and the road is pretty good - but the mountain section in Pune, Lonawla is known to be a pain to drive. However the road is very very good.

In terms of robbery et all.. mmmm - tough question, because u would be going through during night in some part of the journey, and it is avoidable.

Happy Journey, Cheers

Almost 75% of the road from bombay to bangalore is 4 laned with dividers seperating the 2 directions. The average travel time is 16 to 18 hours if you have 2 people who can take turns driving. Else would reccoment an overnight halt. There is a lot of traffic in both directions and its completely safe. Just use common sense and safe driving style and you will be fine. Have a nice trip and carry lots of change for the toll booths.

i don't think so. it is really very far, and u will need more than 24 hrs to reach mumbai in a car. plus u won't b comfortable at all in a car though the roads r good. Prefer bus, train or flight.
