Personally, I don't think ANY country should have them, including the USA.

There are some basic factors that play into what makes Iran different from other countries that make the idea of them having nuclear weapons unacceptable.
Radical fundimentalist islamist government. ==>
Supports terrorist organizations; Hezbollah, Hamas...???
Calls for the destruction of another country.
Denies the holocaust.
This makes it different from Pakistan, for example. Islamic vs. Islamist. Were the government of Pakistan to go bad and adopt the same philosophies they would have to be dealt with as well.

Iran having nuclear weapons would be an extremely distabilizing suituation in the area.
First of all, America is the one trying to stop Iran from proliferating nuclear weapons due to the danger it poses to Israel. A single nuclear attack is all it would take to wipe Israel off the map.
Neither Israel or America want to see Iran, a country filled with radical muslim fundamentalists having nuclear weapons because then, Iran would be able to adopt hard line policies and do almost whatvever it wanted to do and America wouldn't be able to stop it.
Even worse, if Iran sold nuclear weapons to any of the psychotic arab terrorists in the area such as Al Queda, more than likely, those weapons would be used as weapons of terror and it would be nearly impossible for America to track and disarm them.
The truth of the matter is, Iran doesn't have the technology yet and AMERICA OR ISRAEL can stop them from developing the technology by bombing their nuclear reactor in Bushere. Israel did this to Iraq's nuclear reactor in OSIRAQ using a single squadron of F-16's.
In my opinion, If I was president for a day, I wouldn't hesitate one second longer than to destroy the nuclear reactor immediately. I would send a flight of unmarked F-22 fighter/bombers with JDAM bombs and we would level that entire area.
If we do not do so, we run the risk of Iran becoming another North Korea. The second I heard NK was trying to build nukes, they woulda gotten over 100,000 pounds of diplomacy dropped on their heads from American B-2 Spirits.

Israel, India and Pakistan have good history in the use of arms unlike Iran where its missiles could end up in the hands of terrorists and be a menace to world peace.

You just got an answer that describes fully why.
Iran is not a country that should have those type of weapons because it will kill anybody they feel like it, obey no one, and the USA would be the first they would attack. Are you American? would you like to find out after you let Iran have nuclear weapons what happens to yr country?

Nuclear weapons should be acquired by countries that are responsible. In a world with only one superpower, only those countries are deemed to be "RESPONSIBLE" who are friends of America.
Unfortunately, America is not too comfy with Iran, and that is why it is not okay for it to get arms of any kind, let alone nuclear ones. The world is too hyprocritical today. All countries should just throw their nuclear weapons in Antarctica.

Most of the countries develop these weapons in secret. It's not ok, but they already have. It's particularly dangerous in case of Iran because it's a country with an extremist leader.

in my view i think of no you would be allowed to have them. extraordinarily no longer usa and Israel, the reason being that Israel and usa the two have approximately as lots self administration as an Israeli soldier pointing an AK47 at a Palestinian toddler. they're aggressive and heavy exceeded. on a similar time as on the different hand, Iran has no longer attacked anybody for over one hundred years or extra. while exchange into the final time usa or Israel used violence and aggression.......? precisely

If Iran had them they would use them.
Iran is run by crazy extremists. If Israel didn't have them they would have been destroyed a long time ago. So having them is for self preservation.
