Good luck! Best suggestion I can make is that there is a "scalp free zone" at Fenway. Once the box office closes (30 min past game time) people try to sell their tix back to others at face value. The zone is located in the rear of the stadium (it may be by gate D) where the window for groups, military, etc is. Just ask an employee, they are very helpful and also monitor the transactions. There's a small line of people who wait for the tix to be offered.
My next suggestion, wait until about the 2nd inning. The scalpers are desperate to get rid of them and you can probably get them for a little more than face value. Tip: have them walk with you to the entrance and wait until the tix are scanned to make sure that they are genuine. I was at a game doing all of the above 2 weeks ago and overheard staff talking about some counterfeit tix that scalpers were selling.

You will never find cheap tickets. There are many web sites that offer tickets (You can certainly find them by Googling), but you will be paying a premium.
Another alternative is to find a good sports bar and enjoy with the camaraderie.

Wow... one of the first games after Boston becomes alive again with college students?
Good luck with that my friend, but youre welcome here any time.
Look for the people with the signs that say "NEED TICKETS". See, its pretty clever. They can get arrested for scalping and saying that theyre selling tickets, so they skirt around this little inconvenience by saying that they NEED tickets. Just make sure theres no cops around!

Are you kidding? You won't even be able to get into bars near Fenway. Cheap? You will be paying a substantial premium for tickets.

Unless you are willing to perform some strange acts, you will never get cheap tickets. They do not exist. Not in Boston.
