The friend is only one holy relationship in the world carrying no interest. The friend may be He or She . The age , Sex and Gender is varied from society to society. In Patriarchal Society the Men are more dominant where in Matriarchal Society it will be reverse .One friend can sacrifice his or her life for his another friend. History is the evidence. However I am a male one.But I have a best friend who is female having no interest even sexual but she always try to save me from any kind of crisis ,even once she is ready to sacrifice her life . Needless to say women are more deadly than men. However your research will get success. Thank You
Friendship and any relationship is based on the personal feelings ,which one can be received from his brain . He or She may be biased about taking a decision -who is the best friend.The Social Structure is fully responsible for this.

Generally guys are more loyal then girls, merely because guyfriends link in friendship tighlty but the group is smaller where as girls have heaps of friends but the friendship is more loose. Your best friend is the one you can share most of your secrets and have good feedback and no laughing unless of course it is ridiculous which you also laugh at. A best friend will always stick up for you in a fight.

A friend in need's a friend indeed. Friends R just friends, all R the best, there's no partiality & same logic applies when it comes to the boys or girls. Isn't this strange that I'm answering a friend like U. Friend ?

Strangest thing?
Stuck by his side in his darkest times but actually unappreciated. Eventually decades later, is my (dark) soul brother.
Who ?
I have two best friends who the 3 of us are a perfect relationship between friends. We are like close, trusting, bonding, good ties, family siblings. They are my sisters.
Choose the Best one(s)?
They click and interact well with me and continue to reciprocate for over 2,5 decades! No one else comes close.
Loyality based on gender?
No, not relevant to me. You might choose family siblings to be close to you based on gender, but the reality may be different, right? It depends what you consider as a "best" friend. Maybe if you are "shallow", best friends based on gender, abound.
Hope your survey results are conclusive. Most arent.

um...well I have 3 best friends because I couldn't never pick one over the other and The strangest thing I ever did for a friend was be there for her first bj who happened to be my boyfriend at the time haha!

Well, I don't know if this is strange (it's all an opinion really), but if someone were to kill either my best friend or me, then I would willingly sacrifice myself for their sake.
