How much u put that depends on the size of the pool.Dont put much as then it will irritate eyes while swimming and cause their redness. When u put chlorine(which is the best way to keep pool clean) just put enough that there is not a very strong smell of chlorine , and when there is that means it is extra.

NO! - there is enough chlorine/fluorine in normal tap water - these two chemical are bad enough. What society does not realise which is bad either the chemicals or normal bacteria.
The added chlorine will be absorbed by the skin and then will go straight to liver, and liver will have hard time to deal with it, that why we get skin problems, because skin is a third kidney and dump any toxins out of the body, so why put them in first place.

if its a large pool the you should be able to buy a pump and filter try a small pond pump rather than useing chlorine or chemicals they can irritate children's skin the pump and filter will remove most of the dirt and algae that will build up you would only have to run it for a couple of hours when the kids are in bed or not using the pool

it really depends on the size of the pool as to how much . if its a small pool then simply changing the water may be best , otherwise you can purchase chemical kits that give you correct quantities and are kinder to children than chlorine
