You should save up some more so you can buy one with more memory. For anything under that price you won't get to put much. I like the Ipod Video. I didn't at first because everyone was really into them and thought that they were overrated. But the video one has so many cool features. Save up some more and buy something you'll enjoy far more than something for under that price.

iRiver Clix. The best flash player, BY FAR.
It stores 2GB (about 500 songs), views photos, plays video, has an FM tuner, FM + voice recording, and the battery lasts 19/20 hours before you have to charge it. You can download games onto the Clix, too.
It's got a cool design. You press the edge of the screen to navigate. Don't mind the pictures, it's much smaller than it looks.
It's $200, the same price as the matching-in-capacity Nano. The Clix won CNET's Editor's Choice award.
The best large capacity player is the Creative Zen Vision: M, HANDS-DOWN. It's customizable, and has a great screen along with a wide range of features and solid battery life.
Honorable mention goes to the Sandisk Sansa e200 series (I have one of these, too.) and the Toshiba Gigabeat S.

A lot of people will tell you the iPod but I have a far better suggestion. Go with the Creative Zen V Plus. It isn't out yet but will be available soon. You get just as much drive space as you would with a similar iPod for less than what an iPod costs and you get an FM tuner with it.

The samsung Yp-Z5 is a spectacular mp3 participant. RRP $319 (2GB) RRP $379 (4GB) yet I easily have seen them for less severe priced on ebay and different internet shops. I easily have got here across that samsungs mp3 gamers are large popular (no longer purely the Yp-seventy 5)

Ipod is the best. It even comes with a 1 year warranty.
I washed my ipod and it no longer worked. I let it dry then took it in to the apple store and they gave me a brand new one, no questions asked.
If you're short on money check out your local State college because they usually discount ipods there. Also, in September, apple is releasing a new ipod (8gig) so prices will go down for the lower gig ipods.
