The laptop screen is not plugged in? How is that possible?
If you mean when your laptop is on but not connected to a power socket, the screen shouldn't flicker, it's running off the batteries, no?

I undertsand that your screen is flickering when it is not connected to the power. That means its flickering when run on batteries, most probably your battery is running bad. You may need to replace it
