Okay. My doctor actually skipped this step with me, but I'm looking in my book right now for this answer.

Short and simple, it says you may notice more regular cycles after two or three months. You'll start to notice the side effects before that, but they'll decrease as your body adjusts to the medicine.

Of course, how much it will help you varies from person to person.

If you haven't looked into books yet, try the link below for a whole list of them. The first book listed on the page is the one I referenced for this answer. My doctor was very unhelpful, so I ordered some books and they've been a world of help for me. Whether you're trying to get pregnant or just manage the condition, there is help in this list.

the doctor told me it would regulate my periods more or less straight away but I keep forgetting to take them, so haven't really noticed! lol She said to eat healthily and try to lose weight for better effect too. They wont help you become pregnant though, just regulate your cycle. If you aren't ovulating, you'll need chlomid as well as metformin.

It hasn't really helped me at all, so i stopped taking it. It makes me so sick to my stomach 24/7.

Good luck, I hopeit works for you.
