I just installed it (bought version), and when i start it, the splash screen pops up and then it says error, with the send report or not.

I have all the stuff for it because I'm also playing SimCity 4. any help?

yeah, i have the graphics card, sound, way over the processing speed, and have like 1.6 gig of ram...

now i heard that you might have to use matching sticks of ram to play, but i dont have that problem with simcity 4

i have a really good computer because my computer is almost matchin up to my college's computers in the web design major.

i run all types of stuff with no problems and no lags like 3d studios max, photoshop, pro tools, flstudios 6, etc. Plus its a custom built computer with very expensive hardware.

Requirements:

If you have a T&L capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM then you need at least:

* 800 MHz processor or better
* 256 MB RAM if Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000
* At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space

what i have:

3 ghz intel pentium 4
1.6 gig ram
200 gig of hd

i might try the last answer, and install the sims 2 first, and then simcity 4

Have you ever though of unistalling simcity 4 and sims 2 and then reinstallin it. I had a few problems myself and found that re-installing it was the best solution. Also there are no patches to help this specific problem because patches only help out what's happening inside gameplay seeing how you've never played it. a pactch isin't your solution. hope this helps.
