It would be easy to throw out an answer to this question, without really thinking about it. My natural self would want to report him to the authorities, or worse...report him to a bunch of my friends and "introduce" him to the neighborhood! But, what good would that do? I would be just as bad as members of his group have been. What I would do (and you are asking an opinion here) is I would live as peaceably as I could while being his neighbor. I would greet him in a kindly way, whenever passing by, no matter what he did (even if he threw me the "California howdy!). Eventually, he would get to know me for who I am, and not the stereotypical version that his buddies believe. I really believe that living out your life in front of others can have a positive influence in how they see you, your race, your faith, and other things that are part of you. Not all poor people are slobs, drunks or druggies. Not all blacks are criminals. Not all Democrats voted for Kerry (and not all Republicans voted for Bush). Not all voters voted. Not all rich people are stingy & tight. Not all teenagers are sex-starved maniacs. Not all Senior Citizens smell like Ben Gay. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all whites are greedy (did I miss anybody?!). People have the tendancy to put people in little labeled boxes, thinking that they have all the answers to who and what that person is. That KKK member just might see that he could be wrong, in his thinking. He might even get the courage to tell his buddies that he's no longer interested in pursuing his membership. Yeah, sometimes I tend to look for the positive in even the worst situation. But, I'm a peacemaker, at heart. After all, this is MY opinion, right? So, that's what I would do. <*)))><

It depends on if you are alone or have family to consider. it also depend on if this is a predominantly black community or a predominantly white community. You chief thought should be your family's safety. After that, your one safety is paramount. If you are primarily amongst friends then keeping your enemy near is wise, since the enemy you know and that knows you is the enemy upon whose actions you can count on. It is the enemy that you can't be certain of that can get away with murder, because; nobody will see him coming. If on the other hand you are the stranger in community. a lone swan in a sea of ducks, so to speak, then it might be wise to seek distance from your neighbor if not in distance then in security. Good fences can make good neighbors. Of course, the questions are how did you a black person come across this knowledge and is it reliable. Prejudice is not only for the strong but for the weak as well. It may seem that the KKK is the bad group in this situation given their past misdeeds but there are those in every group that do bad deed. Is the black person who sets out to hunt down and kill KKK members any better than the men he seeks to kill? I have been in an area thick with both KKK and Black Panthers and known that both were in the room just looking for an excuse to fight and yet othing ever happened. I have also been in a fight between Vietnamese refugees and hispanic migrants over as little as a soccer ball. You can't always be certain just when violence will erupt or who will prevail. All you can know for certain is that bad things happen and hopefully you are not the recipient of their their evil. You should also hope that you are not the cause of their evil either. If moving out makes sense to you do so. If it is a problem weigh that problem against other problems. Only act when you see that it is the best decision for you and yours. Rash decisions or decisions made in anger or fear tend to be bad decisions. Think and act in that order.

Well that depends on how you found out. I wouldn't say anything. If you feel the need to tell someone then I would call the police anonymously. I would personally leave them alone. Even move maybe. If you told someone and your neighbor found out, then he might send someone. I don't know exactly how kkk works, but I know they are dangerous.

A kkk member would not move into a predominately Black neighborhood,because there is strength in numbers, (He would be outnumbered, and they have to have their own kind around them to have any significant effect), so I would assume that I'm the minority in a predominately all white neighborhood.
If he bothered me, I have the right to protect myself, my family and my property from any type of attack, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
But if he didn't bother me, I wouldn't bother him.
