The etymology of the word refers to bullfighting.
It is well known that a MATADOR uses a red cape to intimidate a bull. When the bull gets agitated, it charges the matador but, it tends to aim for the cape rather than the man.
Seeing red refers to this situation of being so angry, your anger controls you and causes you to be extremely enraged.
It also referes to how White skinned people tend to turn red in the skin due to the blood pressure rising and their blood becoming more pronounced.

Usually I take "seeing someone" to mean dating exclusively. If someone says they're seeing someone, I think they're past the "just friends" and "test driving" phase of their relationship, and that means they're spoken for.

To get angry...probably a carry over from how the bull fighter waves a red cape at the bull to get him mad and charge. I read that it is the waving of the cape and not the color of it that angers the bull,,,then again if the guy waving the cape at you wears tights you may be a little pissed.

When you show a bull a red cloth it goes wild and attacks it. So when you see red you are really angry...
