How many seasons of Gilmore Girls are there expected to be?

My friend is taping the 6th season and I can't believe it just ends like that. There needs to be more. I'm thinking like 8 seasons, but I want more than that. Oh well. Let me know what you are thinking, please.

From what I heard after Season 6 ended, is that there is one more season & that's it. I would like to see it go for 10 season's but i don't think it will go that far.
