What are some things that will make you feel happier and 'high' when you do them?

Is it telling someone a joke? Going for a swim?

No matter what it is, we usually have some 'signals' telling us that we are going down..

Anyway, most of the time, actions will decide your emotions. If you are not feeling too good..SMILE.. smile more and you will feel better.

Laugh heartily, jump, loosen yourself and you will find it easier to feel upbeat again :)

According to my mentor, the trick is not to get down and try to motivate yourself. The trick is to take action when the warning signals come out cos it is always easier to go up when you are mid slope then wait for yourself to go all the way down before trying to climb up again.

First, I don't try to fight the feeling. If necessary, I allow myself a good cry.

Then, I do one of two (or sometimes both) things:

1) I get involved in meeting someone else's needs. It takes my mind off of myself and my problems.

2) I watch a funny movie or TV show or something that will get a good belly laugh out of me.

The book of Proverbs says that ". . .laughter does good like a medicine."

Usually that's enough to get me back on track.

I try to think about all the other people that have less than I do, and then I think to myself I should be thankful for the things I do have instead of being complaining or feeling bad about it.

An old Moody Blues song....

"Face piles of trials with smiles........" easier said then done...welcome to the human race....feeling down is just part of this "e" ticket ride of life...enjoy the ups and downs...

just try to think positive about what is yet to come, I know it's hard sometimes but try your best, it helps to think about something or someone that is special toyou and how or what may arise in the next 24 hours to make you feel better. Talk to your best friend or partner about why you feel that way and see what he/she says.

I pray about it, and I also think someone else is a lot worse off than me and I am complaining about something so minimal. Thanks for asking because it help me put my current problem into perspective and realize I'll get over it and I shall survive! hehe :)
