Will our prophecies about armageddon self-fulfill?

Yes. As long as members of three religions who all purport to believe in an omnipotent and omnipresent God insist on fighting over a piece of dirt because they believe it is somehow more holy to this Omniscient God than any other piece of dirt, there will be ongoing disasters. Will it be the armageddon of the bible? No. We are already living in a world that is beyond biblical prophecy. There is no longer a city of armageddon where a battle can take place. All the physical bodies that are supposed to resurected could not fit into the valley where they are supposed to gather to await judgement. Our world, even if they somehow could have gotten a glimpse it, is so far beyond the comprehension of biblical prophets, that they could not have interpreted what they had seen correctly. One glimpse into the future, looking at say, a single small battle in WW2 could have inspired St. John the Devine's revelations.

Armageddon refers generally to end times or giant, apocalyptic catastrophes in various religions and cultures. It may also refer to any great loss of life in battle or use of weapons of mass destruction.

The word Armageddon is thought to be derived from the Hebrew words Har Megido (הר מגידו), meaning "Mountain of Megiddo". The site referred to is a valley plain called Megiddo, the location of many decisive battles in ancient times, including the Battle of Megiddo. There is no literal "mountain of Megiddo" anywhere in the Promised Land, although there is an archaeological mound nearby, representing the ruins of at least 20 cities that flourished between 5,000 years ago and 650 BC. Some would argue that the word Armageddon is an early example of a mondegreen.

The only mention of the word Armageddon in the Bible appears in Revelation 16:16: "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon" (KJV).[1] The Bible includes many passages that refer to the concept of Armageddon, however. But this specific Bible prophecy reference is ambiguous whether any event actually takes place here, or whether the gathering of armies is only to be seen as a sign.

Have you ever heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy??? There are to many evangelicals gearing up for the rapture and end times. It is these same people, who were the majority of voters that re-elected President Bush. Please also remember the President Bush has morphed himself into "God's Right Hand Man" and has made statements to the fact that he has had personal conversations with God and "knows God's Plan". The fact that we have elected (and continue to keep employed) such an RELIGIOUS EXTREMIST....as George Bush, says to me.....WE ARE IN A WORLD OF HURT AND BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PRAY FOR!!! If any religious person ACTUALLY READ the book of Revelations......IT SAYS THAT THE CHURCH WOULD BE A PRIMARY DECEIVER AND THAT THERE WOULD BE MANY FALSE PROPHETS. The fact that most of the evangelicals MISS THIS POINT AND CONTINUE TO BUTTRESS THE FALSE BELIEFS OF EXTREME EVANGELICAL RELIGION and FALSE PROPHETS (I.E.; GEORGE BUSH)....just shows me the extremely low IQ's of the evangelicals!!! It;s too bad.....that ignorance, apathy, greed & corruption run the roost. Personally, I think the earth is going to spit us out like a toxin.......as we have DONE NOTHING TO SHOW THE PLANET WE ARE A WORTHY SPECIES TO KEEP!!! The planet would be better off without the human species as a whole.....and I bet the God says that humans were an experiment that went AMUCK!!

definite. In Hebrew, God's call is ???? which interprets to the English alphabet as : YHWH or Yahweh, which in turn is translated to English as: Jehovah. meaning: “He reasons to alter into.” and multiple the places the place we are able to locate his call are: Exodus 6:2,3; Psalms 80 3:18; Psalms one hundred:3; Psalms ninety 5:6, and so on... And thankfully, the 2012 King James version, it quite is termed: The Divine call King James version, has now restored that call into all their unique places!

If Bush has his way, yes. I'm hoping the rest of the world is a little more sane.
