Ok, so a woman gets pregnant by a guy, the guy has no say in whether she should get an abortion, but then is legally obligated to pay for the support of a child he may not want.
If its a womans choice whether or not to get an abortion, shouldn't she then have to support the child?

i.e. we all know that a human embryo is human life... and that the whole "rights" thing is a crock since the baby girl has no right when it is about to get chopped up, so it's really the RIGHT OF BIGGER OVER SMALLER.
so basically what I am saying is... it's fair for the father to pay... you spray, you pay. it's just not fair that the woman can kill the baby at all. two wrongs, a right don't make.

because the man had say in taking the precautions to create it, the same way you have a choice in being a father or just sending a check.
if she gets an abortion a women should do it in agreance with what the father wants. considering they made the child together...
if he wants one and she doesnt then he should have did what he needed to to prevent it from happening....
Personally I am against unwarranted abortions, you both knew what you where doing... You can always sign the rights over to the child, and write the child off as not yours and nonexistent. But as adults we need to take responsibility.
And remember not every women that gets pregnant made that choice (some may not even have had the choice in the act) as a man you can rap it up every time. You don't want to pay child support don't make the child, and don't complain about the system take the proper precautions to keep yourself of it...WRAP IT UP

B/c he knocked her up. Yeah, it sucks that the woman has more control over the situation, but in the end it's *her* body and the law says she has the right to choose (whether we all agree with it or not). If a guy doesn't want kids then he should be more careful that he doesn't get anyone pregnant. Abortion isn't only about not having a child, it's also about not going through pregnancy/labour. You need to protect yourself from these situations, you won't have to worry about abortions if you don't get someone pregnant in the first place.

Think of it this way. Unprotected sex is like soliciting a woman to share in the creation of a child and you can understand that if you and a woman wanted to create a child together each would be partially responsible to assist in the process.
You do your half of the job and she changes her mind and gets an abortion, go find someone else.

Adults should have a mutual understanding when it happens; it is both peoples responsibility, if he says no and she keeps it she should take care of the child but again you both made a child. I am a woman and i am for what u r saying there is alot of unwanted children out here and it's sad; but they keep coming and coming. hopefully one day women may come to their senses when a man says he doesn't want a kid she'll leave it at that and not get pregnant. Men should have a choice.

It takes 2 to make that child. Whether EITHER one WANTS it or NOT. The time to make that decision is BEFORE the occurrance. The problem being NO ONE thinks it will happen to them. Thus the decisions being made usually arent very good ones, AFTER the fact.

no, childsupport is there because the mom feels that the dad is never there and wont be there. that the dad cant support a child. therefore she gets child support. because there are some dads that are lazy or unwealthy to take care of a family. or those guys who just hit and run.

The guy is 50% responsible for the pregnancy.
