Roses. Especially yellow.
But my favorite flower is tulip.
I also love sunflower, daisy, lily, and wild flowers.:)

simple answer; Roses - not because of the Rose but I REALLY AM NOT A FAN of Carnations. They have always struck me as a cheap and a quickie flower purchase. My fav. is African Violets and my boyfriend knows I would prefer a plant (something that won't die in a week!)
However, depending on the guy and the reason (if there HAS to be one) - the gesture can be lovely...no matter what he brings!
Happy romance(s)!

I love the salmon pink roses or yellow.
Red roses are for special occasions.
But carnations are just as lovely, smell good and last a whole lot longer than roses.
Once in awhile you get lucky and roses last. I have found adding a good portion of Seven-up to the water (50/50) will help make them last much much longer.
Any flowers given to me are always appreciated.

Carnation milk is awful stuff, and rose water doesn't last very long.
Actually, I prefer carnations. They're such a happy flower. Roses are somehow solemn. The monkeys stand for honesty. giraffes are insincere, and elephants are kindly but they're dumb.
