It is usually normal to feel this way. My best friend and I also had a crush on this person in school too, but I let him take that person. It isn't because he's my friend. Rather, I know that there are the same kind of people I can love out there. So why go after one when you have many others out there. Besides, it's just a crush :) Friends last longer than a crush. Remember that as well. I have a good sweetie now that I can love. So a crush is a normal thing. But dont let that get in the way of your friendship. Remember that there are a lot more guys out there :)

Everybody view on this issue will be different. Personally I feel that if your best friend and the guy have not started dating, you should fight for it. However if your best friend and the guy have started dating, you have to balance which is more important to you coz your best friend may not forgive you for snatching her crush away once they start dating.

Find out who he likes and go from there. But, i think it is normal. My best friend and I just set boundries. You know we would try not to go after the same guy. And if we did we let him pick which one of us he liked better. Hope this helps.
