on your feet/legs or your hands and knees... while you may end up with no arms or no legs or both, you don't technically need your extremities to survive. If you landed anywhere on your torso, you risk breaking your back and causing internal trauma. There's a reason they're called VITAL organs, so you dont' want them damaged. and if you landed on your head, well, that's obvious.
but the most obvious answer, of course is, don't fall!

when you fall from great height,you land with you feet and roll forward,for doing so, you can reduce the damage.

Feet first....it would probably destroy your legs and hips but you would stand a much greater chance of survival because the brain and internal organs would be further from impact!
