I have been seeing this statement quite a bit here......

Are people serious?

Have people forgotten Bosnia?
People Died

Have people forgotten Somalia?
People Died

What about Clintons inabilty to Respond to Attacks?
WTC was bombed while he was in office....No Action Taken...
Attack on the USS Cole.....People Died......No Action Taken
US base in Suadi Arabia Bombed...People Died......No Action Taken.........
Clinton Declared Osama a Threat to the US,but had the Oppurtunity to Capture him 3x......Yet No Action was Taken.......
Lots of People Died

I'm an Independent and Liked some of Clintons Domestic Policies........

Yet, The Fact is People Died because of Actions taken and in some cases ignoring the Problem while Clinton was in Office....

So why do so many people use the statement "Clinton Lied No One Died"????????????????????

The statement refers to Clinton and his sexual discretion. People who use that phrase are saying that no one died because of Clinton saying that he didn't have sex with Monica Lewinsky. Bush on the other hand lied and brought America into a war under false pretenses. Now, I am not defending either of the presidents' actions. All I am saying is that presidents are in the hot seat 24 hours a day, and any decision they make on any given day can cause the death of thousands. That is just the cold hard truth of it. It is unfortunate that the world we live in requires decisions like that to be made, but there really isn't much we can do about it anyway. That is why being president is such a tragedy. No matter what you do, there will always be someone who will have something to say that makes you look like a bad president even if you did so much good. Let's take Lincoln for example. Many of the decisions that he made were unconstitutional and eventually overturned. However, in histories eyes he is a hero. 100 years from people could look on Clinton or Bush with the same admiration, as impossible as that may seem.

And total up all those deaths and you get an ASTOUNDING 10, maybe 11 people? And there's a difference between sending some military to quickly resolve a conflict and STARTING A WAR. Becuase of Bush, thousand of people (Iraqis AND Americans, along with others) die EVERY SINGLE DAY. That in no way, shape, or form compares to what Clinton did.

And, by the way, that phrase is used to ask why Bush has never been impeached. Yeah, Clinton lied about having an affair, but he didnt start a war for no reason. IMPEACH BUSH!

You are comparing humanitarian efforts supported by the UN to a unilateral pre-emptive war.

Also, update your research a bit, the militants responsible for the USS Cole and World Trade Center were brought to trial and convicted.. under Clinton. Can you say the same for Bush?

The Taliban offered to give B.Laden to Bush on Sept 18&19th in 2001 but he said NO. (pbs.org The Newhours archives Sept 18&19th, 2001)

Clinton's LIE was about a *******, honey, not anything serious like weapons of mass destruction. We didn't base any wars on his lie. George Bush lied, we started a war and as a result, over a couple thousand Americans have died, soldiers from all around the world have died, and thousands of innocent and maybe not-innocent people have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He lied and people died, but people didn't die DUE to his lie. OK, maybe Vince Foster. I was disgusted by what he did to Kosovo and the Sudan, so why can't you admit it when Bush does some atrocious things? And Bush's disgusting crimes to humanity and is much more extensive and far-reaching. I can give you 20+ additional wrongs committed by the Clinton presidency, can you do the same for Bush? Or is foolish pride more important than holding our politicians accountable?

.......I think it might be a good time for you to move into the present time......Clinton is no longer our President. ...However, your point is well taken, but how many of our soldiers died iin Bosnia or Somalia versus Iraq and Afghanistan (and to what end?)....There is relative peace in Bosnia....Somalia has some problems,,,, but nothing like the loss of life in Irag and Afghanistan. It's apples and oranges
