If your teacher..?

If your teacher teacher treated you differently because he taught one of your older siblings, what would you do? And, let's say this sibling was.. a "hooligan", and your teacher always thought you'd be like him and so never gave you a chance or showed you any respect..

It sounds as though your teacher is bias. And not very open-minded. If I was you I would show the teacher that I am not my brother/sister and prove that you deserve respect by raising yourself to the standard where the teacher is forced to respect you. Do better, be smarter, and be friendly about it - your teacher will feel guilty that he was stereotyping you.

talk to him and let him know that you are your own person. Sometimes people do a certain behavior because they really dont realize they are doing it. If you point out that it offends or hurts you, they will probably stop. But, then dont act like a hooligan and prove them right later

I'd force the teacher to show me respect. I've had that problem, and I got a teacher fired for it. I just don't put up with that crap.

yes, I had exactly the same problem at school. chemistry teacher really hated me bcoz of my elder brother. I couldn't do anything... no matter how much I tried, she always spoilt my good marks. I started hating chemistry though before liked it and was one of the best students.

It's just unprofessional. And shows a lot of insecurity.

I agree with the first response.

I aint taking that. I only got 2 gym teachers fired though. lol
The others were forced to go somewhere else, which really isnt firing.

U need to talk to this teacher and let him/her know that u are different.

If not, i will go to the principal and tell him/her that this teacher is not being fair with me.

report him to the principal(no serious thats his boss)if that don't work go to the board of education.just go up the chain if that still wont work apply at another school.
