All humans love the illusion of peace, but the reality of peace is another story. In order to secure world peace one must secure a new world order, complete and without question. They call that a dictatorship. Nobody likes a dictatorship. It would give them peace but at the expense of freedom. People seem to love freedom more than peace, and; there lies the rub. You can't have both. in order to secure freedom you will have surrender peace at some point. Nobody seems to be able to figure that one out these days but it is as old as time. Slavery may be all but gone these days but freedom is an illusion as well. We are only free so long as we can preserve our freedom and we are only at peace so long as we can preserve our peace. The sad thing is that the only thing that preseves peace is a willingness to fight wars and the only way to preserve freedom is to restrin others from taking it away from you. Hence, they are illusions. Enjoy them tthough you may they do not exist as they are. And yes people would love peace if it did not cost them so much.

If all human beings are sailing in the same boat on loving peace, the entire world will have in a piece, without wars. The expenditure on Defence, willbe diverted to other social activities and the entire world having in a smooth manner i.e. no drought etc

So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

All human beings defiantly should!! However, obviously not enough or there wouldn't be so very much war, death, murder, invasions and occupations!
