That really pissed me off!!! I'm a fan of Carls and what Tony did was unacceptable. Being black flagged was not harsh enough of a punishment.

I did read the article on www.nascar.com about the whole thing and read something about Carl got up beside Tony and Tony flipped him off. I agree with Carl he shouldnt have done it on pit road, but Tony deserved it.

Tony is a jerk. They need to take away about 100 points, not that he is gonna make the chase anyway, for all his rough driving lately. I know racing is racing, and i love to see guys bumping and grinding, but when you do something on purpose because you are a stupid idiot, you should have points took away and fined plus the black flag. What a JERK!

You know you people forget that Tony is only human and he did not mean to wreck Edwards. How Edwards behaved afterwards was just as bad and you don't see Carl apologizing for hitting Smoke in the pit. Tony's was an emotional reaction to gettin put into the wall. Edwards was thought out and calculated.
Tony is the man in this because he apologized for the incident

Didn't see the whole thing, but sounds like there was an err in judgment on more than just Tony's part. I did see Carl spin Tony out on pit road after the fact in retaliation. That isn't right either.

Tony can be a total hot head at times but things really got out of hand at Sunday's race. they all need to grow up and stop acting like babies. but i guess the fighting is all part of nascar. what Carl did to tony on pit road was wrong he should not have done that but what tony did was also wrong but like what my mom always said to wrongs don't make a right.

I agree with you!

Stewart was way wrong, however for Edwards two wrongs don't make a right!

Bowyer, I think he was just having a rookie day!

At least Stewart got back on the lead lap! I would've been pissed if I were Edwards too! How is that fair?

They should have both gotten harsher penalties, Stewarts being the worse of the two! Take points from them at least!

How was Gordon on "probation" but Stewart wasn't from his incident with Kenseth? Pretty biased!

Do you think what Carl did was any better?

I don't. Neither of them were practicing good sportsmanship that day, but at least Tony actually said he was sorry and took the blame! Edwards never did anything after he spun Tony.

It made me mad I am a Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards fans. I think if Tony dose that two more times he should be sitting for a race.

I agree they need to do more to Tony. He is being wreckless due to the fact that he has had a couple of bad race lately. Black flagging him is the only thing Nascar will do besides supending him for a race but that has already happen a couple of times. Nascar needs to make a example out of him for the younger drivers as how to do driver in Nextel cup

Tony Stewart should be docked points. He took out two guys and Carl had a good car and he was taken out.

One would really need to know what promoted the actions. Tony Stewart came to NASCAR as an aggressive, highly competitive, but clean driver. However, the "habits" of some Dale Earnhardt sr. wannabes have forced him to adopt a bump & run, smash & crash attitude merely to survive, and remain "competitive". NASCAR "racing" is more of a show / entertainment venue, such as pro wrestling, or roller derby, as opposed to true auto racing. If you believe all the media hype, and shameless NASCAR marketing strategy, you will most certainly disagree with me. But if you have any knowledge of other forms of racing, including oval-track pavement stock cars, (ie. Hooters Pro Cup, ASA etc.) I am sure you would tend to agree with me. "Rubbin's racin'" is how Earnhardt sr made his fame. He created "rivalries" by using the "chrome horn". People hated him for that,........until he tragically died.(mainly because of his own ignorance of proper safety equipment). After his death, the very same people who hated him, made him a godlike hero! Go figure. What a bunch of ignorant hypocrates! But now when someone, does the same thing as Earnhardt sr became idolized for, fans get thier shorts in a bunch and cry foul !! This whole thing is a SHOW folks,.....get realL
