I never do. I always go to the movies that I'm interested in seeing even if the critics have given them bad reviews. I honestly don't give a rat's *** what other people think, I act, do and live by my own standards.

Its great if youve got a really good critic, who`s a normal person and not some arty farty type. The critic in my old local paper was great, if he said it was good I went & saw it, and was never dissappointed. Sadly, most critics arent normal punters who go to the movies, though.

i do no longer bypass lockstep, yet I do tend to take heed to critics comments on extra mainstream video clips. in the event that they pan an action-journey or an oscar-bait drama, i locate that I oftentimes trust the final consensus--extraordinarily if this is severe one way or the different. And it is not a count of in basic terms finding on the thumbs up, thumbs down. If eighty% of critics on rottentomatoes say a action picture is a senseless particular effects extravaganza or a mildly marvelous popcorn flick, they're in basic terms approximately constantly suitable. yet, on a given weekend, that is precisely what i'm in the temper for. despite if, I in many cases forget approximately approximately critics on horror, end-of-the-worldwide, sci-fi, strategies-bending, and romance. it form of feels like what one individual reveals positivley terrifying, yet another reveals indescribably boring. and that i think of very virtually any end-of-the-worldwide, submit-apocalyptic action picture is incredibly worth seeing a minimum of as quickly as. lots of the finished sci-fi flicks in historic past have been initially blasted with the aid of critics (2001, Blade Runner, Solaris, etc.). Ditto for the incredibly weird and wonderful, relaxing stuff--Eraserhead, Brazil, etc. And romance--yeah, they're each and all the comparable tale lower back and lower back. So's porn. what's your element?

Critics are hit and miss, I usually agree with them on most of the bigger movies. I dont agree with them on horror movies and other smaller movies most of the time. I read reviews basically just out of curiousity.

Critics always over-analyze the movies. I only see the user reviews, because they're normal people, just like us, so if they like it them we like it.
