A leader is someone who is able to despite race sex national orgin etc able to motivate people to accomplish a common goal. In today's society there is no way that one can survive without contact from people from many different cultures and backgrounds etc. A leader is one who is effective at taking the talents of those people from varied backgrounds and cultures etc and getting them to do the work needed to be done. Some cases might call for comforting or some might call for sternness. An effective leader knows when and with whom to use different strategies on. So I think the best quality in a leader is for them to be able to take each person as an individual and get them to work as a team. Thats so much easier said then done though. Takes a special kind of person to be a leader. I think that in the old days they said that leaders were born not made and today we say that a leader can be made not born but I think that a person has to be born with some certain abilities in order to be a good leader and that some things can be taught but others have to already be known. And no I dont care who my leader is as long as they are a effective leader who is working towards the goal and mission of the company or group.

"Leadership by example" echoes in my head as they yelled at us in the Marines. You want people to follow you? Get your head out your *** and lead. Never treat the next man as if he is stupid. Never say and you don't do. As far as a Leader would go, so would those who would follow. Be hard but fair. A female Leader? Sure. Follow to the ends of the earth. ONLY if she can show that she cares for the ones she is in charge of and THEN only if she is willing to 'lead not follow'. Another race? Once again, who cares when bullets are flying or motors are falling??? Same at the work place. But only there, there Leaders are far and few. That is where a Leader would show what they know and lead....

I think a true leader is one who can bring both sides together in a peaceful manner. For example, I really admired Lincoln in his leadership qualities. Instead of appointing cabinet members by party affiliation, he appointed who he thought would be best at the job. His cabinet was made up of the most diverse group of people, Whigs and Democrats, hard-liners and the laid back. And while bringing together all these different people, he still managed to maintain his position as the leader and win the Civil War to continue to free the slaves. THAT kind of leadership changes the world. Leadership in which you have no flexibility, in which you see only titles and not qualities, will get you nowhere.

From the perspective of an underling it would be impossible for me to enjoy a leader of the same values and morals as I have.
Qualities of my ideal Leader:
Scientific
Easy going
Rational
Faces the Consequences of actions, regardless of power or position.

On the last note I don't like leaders who drive, just ones who keep things in check on a wide scale (not too limiting). Not ideological but not to pessimistic, just rational works for me.

If the leader was perfect for me I wouldn't mind what race or gender it was.

Kadri is a restricted free agent this offseason. yet another team may put in an provide sheet yet he remains seen the "resources" of the Toronto Maple Leafs and he don't have the freedom to pass to any team he needs. it is a tough selection because this twelve months is truly the first time that Kadri replaced into given a danger. He performed a handful of video games contained in the 2010-2011 and the 2011-2012 season yet he replaced into always being bounced decrease back between the Leafs and the Marlies and that i imagine it affected his overall performance. i imagine he can grow to be a excellent high quality participant. He needs to artwork on faceoffs and %. the right time to get fancy with the %. yet he's shown that he can placed up the criteria. i does no longer bounce the gun and substances him a huge settlement without put off because he remains frequently unproven contained in the NHL. i ought to provide him a smaller settlement and if he exhibits that he can carry out always, then provide him a better provide.

It would have to be someone highly educated in many areas such as sociology, world geography, environmental studies ( just to name a few) and know several languages. He should know as much as he can not just about how to run a country but to know about his people and how they live, know how to communicate well and think positively - so many qualities he would have to have- but saying that- what is important is that a leader shouldn't be short of qualities and skills.
