What is the "leftist media"?

I know it only complicates things, but from a leftist perspective, I would say it doesn't exist on TV in the USA.

Mainstream media is just that, so ABC, NBC, etc don't qualify.

Leftist information can be found in Adbusters Magazine and in other smaller periodicals (check out the adbusters.org) but due to their periodical nature, they can hardly report 'news' but rather analysis.

Media sometimes appears to be leftist because in order to sell it has to look like it is pro people... but actually media as an industry has pure profit motive. So you cant really have a leftist media in a capitalist system.

Media can actually be free if it is disconnected from industry and capital and run on may be public funding. At least you need something to contest the views of private media... I think small community based media as a counter strategy is not a bad idea.

Most of the media outlets in this country are leftist, meaning that the slant they give to things is almost always
from a leftist perspective. Like they began an article about the middle east saying that Israel was invading the "tiny" nation of Lebanon, when in fact they are both small and both about the same size.... They use words to subtly and not so subtly express a point of view instead of just reporting facts.

A figment of Sean Hannity's imagination. Or rather, a result of the fact that while journalists are generally liberal, the people in charge are very conservative. Thus right winger's can attack the news media for being liberal because the reporters tend to be, and left wingers can attack the news media for being conservative because the owners tend to be. The news just thrives on it because, as they say, "There's no such thing as bad publicity."
-Note: Although personally I'm a proud liberal, I have to say that I think the flaws are in the infrastructure of our system, and that even if the dems or the greens won an election and completely filled up house and senate (impossible,) it wouldn't fix things, though some things would improve.

And while we're on the subject of fox i beleive it was this channel that declared bush the winner of the 2000 elections when everyone reported gore. O well no harm done, I mean it caused a silly little recount, that just so happened to leave it up to the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS TO DECIDE THE WINNER. I think we know how that turned out

My heavens, I under no circumstances have been flashed, yet I did by accident flash some human beings as quickly as. i became interior the wellness facility it sluggish back and desperate to take a stoll to the merchandising section. nicely, I wasn't questioning approximately what i became wearing and, enable's only say that those wellness facility robes do no longer circulate away lots to the mind's eye on the backside. The nurse got here up from at the back of me and placed a blanket over my shoulders . . . i became questioning why it became slightly drafty back there!

Air America Radio, and a small handful of other outlets, are about the only Liberal Media left, in the US!!! The rest are owned by NeoConservatives, who promote the myth, of a Liberal Media.
