No, the cause of the earthquake are the tectonic plates shifting. The transform faults are what causes the earthquakes, since they move horizontally past each other it rubs and one of them will give way and that is how an earthquake is caused. Too much rain can cause sinkholes though, esp here in Florida where the ground is mainly limestone.

The forces that cause earthquakes are not the same as those that cause tornadoes or hurricanes.. Earthquakes occur when tectonic plates shift and grind into each other along a fault line.. for more information go to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/learning/kids/eqscience.php

Lessee - seems like you hail from a NON English speaking country.
That increases the likelihood of earthquakes AND hot weather AND rain where you live about twentyfold (or 8000 fold, depending on how you do your math). Hang onto your hat!!!

Actually, this isn't as stupid as some people make out. Rain is by definition a fluid. If this gets into cracks, fractures or faults near the surface, fluid pressure decreases the frictional strength of the fault, crack or fracture and it might move.
However, we're not talking about movements on big faults. It's more likely to cause landslides - which can shake the earth!

hot weather and rain are air and surface events, earth quakes are caused by the plates of the various continents shifting, it has far more to do with the molten center of the earth than the air temps and rain
