I don't know where you live but, in my state it is legal to have consensual sex over the age of 16. And, although I would initially be shocked, and probably feel betrayed by both my son, and my best friend; I think that in the end I would have to accept the fact that what is done is done. Like myself (43), I know that my friend (41) takes very good care of herself, and is a very attractive woman. Young men at this age (my son is now 20) are easily aroused, and very curious about interpersonal relationships with the sexual side of themselves, and others. The age difference really does not matter. What matters is the emotional health of both people involved, and the circumstances surrounding the event. Where they both sober? Did they use protection? Did they both feel safe, and un-coerced? Are there other people involved personally, with either person, that could be emotionally hurt by their actions? If those questions are answered positively, then be relieved that your son, and your friend, have a healthy, responsible attitude towards sex, and respect for each other. Your son will move on, and so will your friend, when the novelty wears off. Understand that this is just the beginning of many choices your son will make in his life that will not include your approval or the lack thereof, and all you can do is be there for him when the choices don't always work out the way we want them to.

Id call the police and have her arrested, friend or no friend thats YOUR SON!.. and anyone lays a hand on my kids, they'd be lucky if the police got a hold of them before i did.. If it was a 17 year old daughter with a 43 year old man he'd already be in jail right???????? so why does it make a difference just cause he's a boy??? She'd no longer be my friend.. thats for sure..

Well, I honestly I don't believe that she is such a good friend
She has probably lost her mind! That is totally wrong from her
She is an adult and is supose to act and think like one
She obuously didn't think about u, i don't think she is a true friend
She doesn't deserves ur friendship, so... forget about her, let her know that what she did was wrong and that she no longer counts with u as a friend
About ur son, maybe he is attrated to older women, which, in my opinion is not ok, at least not that old
Try to have a serious and long talk with ur son, try to make him understand the consecuenses of having a relationship with an older woman... Hopefully, That'll make him think about t and realize that he could ruin his life
If this doesn't help and they still seeing each other and u think they really, really love each other (which I doubt)
Then, give them a chance, ur son needs to fall so he can learn his lesson!!
Hope this helps, good luck!!!

ok he is 17 he is old enough to make to claim emancipation and therefore old enough to make that kind of decision. i would blame your friend not your son though. I some how doubt your son seduced her,so i would look more at your friend. Your son is a teenage boy so he is always thinking about sex. I would ask your friend why she is with your son and ask her why she chose to sleep with your son. She was the aggressor not your son. I would tell her that she doesn't stop she will need to figure out how to support him because you don't appreciate that kind of thing especially in your house. Honestly though he was experimenting and she helped. You might not thank her but his future gfs probably will.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear this. I would file charges against the friend. This is not healthy or acceptable. Your son, no matter how much he feels like one, is not a man yet and your friend has crossed a boundry that is inappropriate. I'm sure your son will be upset about this course of action but most likely he believes the woman cares for him and is affected by this warped view. Be strong and do the right thing! You can do it!

First of all, he is only 17 and he is considered a minor in which case she is also considered to have committed a crime called statutory rape. Even though he may have consented in some states it's considered a crime. Call an attorney! File charges!

tell her what you think... report it and never waste another second on her
make sure your son is ok which i am sure he is but dont ruin your relationship with your son what ever you do
he probably doesnt think it is a big deal now but your friends who is in a position of trust has been disloyal to you
she could really mess things up for your boy emotionally if not now later in life
get rid of her

Never speak to your best friend again or kick their a$$, or both. The son did nothing wrong really.

if he was 17 and she was 43, he probably learned his lesson anyway by having the worst sexual expierence of his life.

If she was truly your best friend you'd never have to worry about that. There's a line there that a true friend would NEVER cross.
I'd definitely turn her in for rape.
