There are different types of men. By that thinking there are also different types of Black men - you shouldn't group them all together.

Some Black men want a white woman because they just happened to meet a specific white woman who makes them feel love and happiness. This kind of Black man is probably least likely to date a White woman but, he does so by chance.

Some Black men want a White woman because they are attracted to exotic features that they cannot find among Black women. This may be as simple as Blue eyes and blonde hair to wanting the woman for her different skin color.

Some Black men want a White woman because they have had negative personal experiences with Black women that have screwed them up for life. This may range from childhood fears of their mothers to rejection from Black women during puberty.


Some Black men want a White woman simply because she is white for a number of reasons. I would say that some of these reasons are:
a desire to feel loved by a group who inherently is expected to hate them;
a desire to have children that are mixed due to a belief that white qualities will increase the child's life chances;
a white woman will give them a sense of being accepted into the dominate majority group.
Some Black men who are dark skinned are perplexed by the White female's skin and hair - he can see her skin next to his and be fascinated by it.


I don't buy into the myth that Black men want White women because "white women are likely to put up with their crap". I don't buy that simply because ALL WOMEN ARE WOMEN and EVERY WOMAN HAS A BREAKING POINT.
A White woman dating a Black guy tends to be under family and societies pressures to leave him from the get go. This type of White woman is most likely going to deal with the Black Man cause he makes her happy, or makes her feel appreciated - even if that appreciation is simply because she is White.
When you think about it, a White man is not going to give a white woman extra appreciation just because she is White - wherin a Black man working through a relationship with her will consider this.

A relationship between a BM and a WW will work for the same reasons any relationship will work - because both participants are willing to brave all the adversity to make it work.

My first girlfriend, Christina, had a Black mother and an Italian father - her skin was as white as a White woman and her hair was dark brown. I loved her dearly but, I NEVER thought of her as White despite her color and caucasian appearance.
TRUE LOVE between two people of different races runs so deep that you never even think that they are different from you.
