I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember it affected me in so many ways. One way it affected me was from an emotional point of view. I felt so bad for those people and so scared for the ones who helped them hide. I also felt proud of the ones who helped. From the point of view of a film student, I felt the movie was shot wonderfully, the story was told beautifully, and the performances immaculate. It was a very touching movie and the fact that it really happened made its message so powerful.

It angered me that we didn't get involved the way we should. It made me feel good though for what a good man the main character was to help people, and use his position to save people. I read about the tribe, or whatever it was called just slaughtering so very many people, and all it would have taken was like one of US police force and it all could've been over.

it didn't,
at first it did... but then they brought out the real people and much of the story is not true...like the hotel guy was not a saint like it depicts him to be...they said he himself promoted this story of himself but a bunch of locals said it was lies...
but the issue of course was real, and very sad...I just hate that hollywood made money off of something so terrible...

It affected me deeply especially when I watched the "real" people on the DVD. It made me cry that this kind of asininity is still going on.

That movie made me cry and it made me angry. It showed me that Americans and French only care about their own.
