Was Marvin Gaye really.... GAY???? MY parents are arguing right NOW ...... was he gay, and did his dad kill him because he was gay? ..... OR was it because he was a drug addict?

He and his father fought over an insurance policy, that enraged his father and he shot him. They fought over money, repeatedly. I guess Marvin senior expected to be supported by his son indefinitely! When this happened , it was on all the news. I remember it well. Also, Marvin Gaye was not homosexual. He was very much into the ladies!

Throughout his tour, he had a bevy of bodyguards surrounding him to keep him safe and often wore a bullet-proof vest. By the time the tour ended, he attempted to isolate himself by moving into his parents' house. He threatened to commit suicide several times after numerous bitter arguments with his father, Marvin, Sr. On April 1, 1984, one day before his forty-fifth birthday, Gaye's father shot and killed him after an argument. Some of Gaye's relatives claimed that he had purposely pushed his father to the edge so that he could have Marvin, Sr., kill him instead of having to commit suicide.

Little Richard "was" gay. Marvin Gaye was heavily into DNA (drugs n' alcohol). And many insiders felt he was bi-polar (NOT bi-sexual) , which delved him deep into paranoia.
Marvin's explosive drugged, drunken rages towards his father pushed him to die by a bullet shot into his heart----by his own father.

his dad killed him because of some insurance problems and the fact that marvin was using drugs again.his dad was a preacher and was against drugs.the shooting was accidental.marvin was not gay but divorced father of many kids.his true love was tammy terrell his duet partner in the 60s but she died of cancer in 68-69.

Can't really speak on him being gay or not...personally I don't think he was. He father did shoot him. At the time of the shooting he was involved with drugs. He was shoot by accident during a family argument over money.
