the list could go on and on , but I still don't have my flying car and robot cop.obviously its to give this just around the corner mindset ,and experiment with possibilities .but its always so far off from reality when the date approaches wouldn't "in the not to distant future"work just fine

No kidding, I've noticed that too! I think it's so funny when they have movies set in like, 2030 and there are flying cars and robots, but when you think about it... that's only 30 years from now. Think of the 70s', are we really that different?? :)

thats for sure. the only "futuristic" thing im expecting is a giant TV. lol
