Question

ive never seen her answer questions or even seen a question from her....so y on earth does everyone hate her so much....what does she do?

maybe she is a mother or even just someone who cares
and want to help clean up society in what lil ways she can?
like i said....
i honestly have no idea who the woman is so...maybe shes crazy and just tries to be annoying in her spare time?

Edna Bambrick is the name of an older age woman that often comes to this site with every chance she has. Supposedly, she mostly comes on to report any violations whatsoever on anyone she can. As I heard, the reason why she does it is because she feels as if she is making the Internet safe. After a while, she became the most popular individual (celebrity) on this site because she was the most hated as well. Many people then tried to report on her with any reason[s] they can find whatsoever and I believe they succeeded in it. Yet, it didn't stop there, because her celebrity status continued on within the site, even though she might have been suspended from here. As a comical sense, some people thought it would be humorous to impersonate her on the site by creating screennames with her name as it, also her picture included as well. Not long after, it got out of control, because it sparked the 'Edna Phenomena', whereby many more users followed in-step by replicating the same antics as the original pranksters. This is when many 'Edna imposters'; sprung up all throughout the site, as it continues still, thus creating a cult. Yahoo! had taken the action by suspending as many suspicious Yahoo! Answers accounts that is the sole intent of impersonating Edna. Yahoo! did the same as well with questions pertaining to the subject of Edna. There are many of the 'Edna imposters' remaining somewhere out there parading around while impersonating Edna. Also, it continues that many people who do not know who Edna is, asks about the whole 'Edna phenomena'. That is so far all I know about the whole phenomena.

Users on Yahoo! Answers get to know each other, basically by answering and asking questions and discovering the different view points of the numerous different people who visit there. Some establish deeper connections, by emailing and IMing each other, but there are some users who gain enough fame on Yahoo! Answers, without even being "Featured Users". These rare people may be singled out for any number of reasons, but whatever the reason, its clear that these people gain some great fame, maybe without even wanting it.

Edna Bambrick, a name that any active current Yahoo! Answers user will know is one of these such people. Almost EVERYONE on Answers has their own opionion about Edna, but regardless of what anyone thinks, she is obviously a very popular woman on Yahoo! Answers. Her legacy and popularity have shadowed her true mission on answers. Edna is a Christian woman, who joined answers and immediately began to make some people very upset. She declared that some of the questions and answers on Yahoo! Answers were dirty, unclean and were clearly breaking Yahoo guildlines. She began to "report" these questions/answers to Yahoo. Her reporting answers and questions caused great anger toward her, declaring she had no right to stop some people from having a little fun on Yahoo! Answers. Before long, other people began to make other "Edna Bambrick" accounts mocking her name and her constant reporting.

Currently, there are over two hundred (and counting) different accounts that seek to destroy and anger Edna for her work on answers, or at least mock her and play with her popularity. These account names include: edna_ishere, Flower Child Edna, Vomit Edna, Edna the Viking, Fredna Bambrick, Bling Bling Edna, Sex Kitten Edna, Barney Bambrick, My Big Fat Greek Edna, Edna Bongbrick, Stick Edna Bambrick, Boxer Edna, Edna Wonka, and many, many more, each looking for a share in Edna's popularity.

Users on Answers have been split on how to take this woman. As mentioned earlier, some clearly hate her and want her gone. Some believe that Yahoo! Answers does need cleaning up, and that she is just trying to make it a better place. Some have no opinion, but throughly enjoy those who impersonate her, and the havoc her name and her impersonaters have caused on Answers. Some simply want the peace and quiet, and do not like the havoc her simply being there is causing. Whether the "Edna Bambrick affair" will come to a quick close or not, its clear that its causing quiet a stir in Yahoo! Answers dynamic.

Unless he/she's a sports professional and makes millions of dollars a year or is a movie star, she/he/it doesn't deserve any attention for how she/he/it behaves. She's/he's obviously crying out for attention and the people on this site are giving it to her/him/it. Ignore the name and don't discuss her/him/it. If eveybody is following the guidelines, nobody has to worry about being reported. If they aren't following the guidelines, then they have to expect to be reported. When you give someone like this more attention, you are doing what they want. Ignore him/her/it. And besides, surely people have something to do other than to waste their energy hating someone on a web site. Have fun with this site and don't pay attention to anybody who is rude or other ways that hurt people. And if a person deserves it, then the person should expect it. Life isn't more fair in your lifetime than when you're a teenage, as after that, you're on your own and people expect you to behave responsibly.

Assuming that her posts all come from the same person (they may not), she seems to have appointed herself moral guardian of the Yahoo Answers service.

Of course, it could all be just a ruse. Who knows? What's somewhat upsetting is that in one of her posts (if it really was her, let's not be hasty here) she threatened to call Homeland Security and report the Anti-Bush posters.

I am not sure who you are referring to but, there are some real %^&*()$ on this system, that I have personally run into. She might be one of them. I can't say for sure. You must be new to this system. There are a few people here who will go at you for no reason known to myself. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you this.
