Intel does a fine job handling daily computing needs but still lacks in the multimedia platform. In that case, AMD is best all around performance in terms of work and play. AMD's cost cheaper too, and they still work with many of the previous sockets. Unlike Intel which requires you to upgrade to a new socket everytime a new processor comes out. AMD then. This is for desktop PCs. As for notebooks, definately go with Intel Centrino Duo Core.

you want to specify which AMD twin center we are talking about. also, you want to specify precisely which variety of i5/i7 besides. trust it or no longer, there are a range of of fashions of i5s, and many fashions of i7s. typically talking though, AMD supplies a spectacular bang on your greenback even as it includes low-value structures. yet when we are talking %, Intel typically carves out a small lead in % even as it includes both priced AMD to Intel Comparisons. it is often very close though, so it purely relies upon on what you want and choose. as far as excellent-of-the line processing, Intel's higher-end i7s are between the proper shopper processors round. it must be hard to get an AMD to conquer Intel's excellent i7s... a minimum of no longer without some significant overclocking and alterations.
