Like for years ago I bought hundreds stamps,1 and 2 world war,they are from middle east, Africa,countries that change their names because their independency, I need appraisal for them,I live in California,and where could I sell them?

For starters, look at http://www.virtualstampclub.com/inherit.html - even if you didn't inherit the stamps. You can find a local dealer by looking under dealers at www.stamps.org. Be prepared to pay if you need a formal appraisal - stamp dealers need to eat, too; they can't spend a lot of time doing appraisals for free. But most dealers will take a quick look through without charging and tell you whether or not you have anything that isn't extremely common (if you only have a couple of hundred items). Most stamps, even old ones, are only worth pennies.

Buy a book on philately. Go to a reputable stamp dealer. Call first as you will need an appointment for the appraisal. Look in yellow pages. That's what we did.
