It depends on the frequency at which the phone words - you'll find information about the phone in the user manual, for instance, 900, 1800 are common frequencies. It depends on what country you will be visiting as to whether the phone will work.

The answer is you have to get an international cell phone. Some companies do make them. I think that they are pretty expensive. I'm pretty sure that sprint has an international cell phone that communicates with the international cell towers

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

One, only buy a quad band phone. Middel east has a lot of 850 Mhz. Also. you are better of buying a phone over seas to use cause if you buy a US phone, you will need to have it unlocked or high international roaming charges due to the lack of stability in the region.

It depends on your phone company and how many roaming networks they have. So I would phone your cell phone company and ask.

I'm sure you won't be using that cell phone in any threatening way, will you "Fantel?" No bombs, or cute surprises? (Just a little "homeland security") .
