am i the only teenager (19) that doesn't think alcohol is cool or fun or tasty???... and no i'm not a religious person who thinks it's a "sin" or anything, it just doesn't appeal to me

There's nothing wrong with being different. Everybody has preferences. It does stimulate most people--I personally love it! But if you don't, theres nothing wrong with that. You're pretty lucky actually, cuz alcohol can be expensive! Waste your money on something more useful! Oops, I didn't answer your question yet...there's more than 6 billion people in the world, so there's a veeeeerrry slight chance that you could be the only one at anything really. That sucks, I know..

I'm almost 19, and I pretty much agree with you. I rarely drink. I think it can be fun at times, but I usually get sick, and hate the taste of most liquor or beer. I'm not religious either, I do party, but alcohol is not my choice of poison.

I could never understand what all the excitement was about as a teen either. We always had it around the house, it was not a big deal. Then in college I watched all my friends get drunk over the weekend, and spend Sunday with their heads in the toilet. I never looked at that as being a big time fun thing.

You are one of the few who are HONEST. No need to apologize to anyone. They will definitely try to paint you as a weirdo though, because by doing so they can justify in their own minds their choices, especially the choice they've made to succumb to pressure in order to fit in. Glad you're more mature than that.

I think people drink just to fit in at that age cause it taste like ****, not that I've tasted it but anyways and for the others they need it to become someone they're not or they just have way to many problems. It could also be used to drop your panties but you wouldn't want that.

it does taste gross...usually that it---unless its a really good mixed drink. im 19 too and i drink because i like the feeling of being buzzed. i dont drink and get sh*t faced like most kids...just a happy buzz. it makes me more easy going and friendly.
really kids drink because it brings ppl together. its a social thing. have u ever had a good mixed drink? try a long island ice tea or something.

If the U.S. was like Europe and had a much lower drinking age, I don't think we would care as much about drinking. Illegal=desirable. Good for you for thinking for yourself.
