I just graduated from college and cannot find a job. I have sent out tons of resumes and gotten only 1 call for an interview! It's so frustrating. I need money and was trying to think of nontraditional ways of earning some until I can find a job. I actually thought about being a surrogate mother, but it seems like you need to have had a child before you can do that. So, any other ideas?? Let's not go for the obvious please!

I was a phone "entertainment" operator by night for three years. No one would have ever suspected it, and it did not make me rich, but it helped ALOT. Make sure it is legal in your state though. Some of the men would also send me things to my PO Box like perfume, extra money, CDs and things, so if you do a good job there are perks. I have also had yard sales, visited pawn shops , too. Roll up all the coins you have in your house, you would be surprised. Sell something on Ebay, or better yet, Ebanned.net, if you are really open minded. Good luck.

Retail. True it don't pay well but it is often easy to get a job at most retail stores because they tend to have a high turn over.

I understand how you feel! I graduated in 2003 and sent out tons of resumes and went on tons of interviews with no job offers for a year! Yeah, took me a year! The job market seems to be even tighter now. Personal experience suggests this. I have been looking for a new job since Sept 2005 and have gotten fewer interviews than 3 years ago! And I am still sending out resumes as we speak!
Hang in there! I hope you can find a job to pay the bills until you are able to find a job in your chosen field.

Starting your own online business can be great! However, there ARE a lot of scams out there so be very careful when you start out. You can check out http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?ID=436 they give you the 411 on data entry jobs, envelop stuffing and home assembly work scams.

I tried going to the http://www.pcworkathome.net site last week and it lead me to a lot of dead ends. They all seemed to be scams in the end that wanted my money.

I did, however, find an international home-based business that works for me. I looked into data entry jobs, but they all wanted you to pay money and most of them involved typing adds. Not what I had in mind. =/ But I really like the business I found. I did the free trial at first so I had time to check it out. I'm glad I did! =) NO cold calling and NO selling soap to friends and family.

You can check out the site at: http://www.automaticbuilder.com/43264/

If this is something you might be interested in I'd be happy to help get you started.

After 3-6 months you can make about $500 a month and after 1 year $1,000 or more a month. And so on. So it's not a get rich quick gimmick, it does take time. But it's steady, long term and residual.

Good Luck!

Don't be frustrating. Tough time doesn't lost but only tough people
There are number of ways you can find income generation activities in a nontraditional ways. Since you mentioned non traditional ways I don't want to discuss about Micro enterprises involving Raw materials, equipments, production and market ting etc., The other possibilities recently I researched and found suitable is a reliable, authentic Internet based business opportunity. There are plenty of them but if you closely scrutinise you can find only few, who could fit into your requirements. you can start with http://www.prerana.vjms.net
wish you all the best.

Try starting with a temp agency. You need some exposure and this may be the way to do it. Once your talents are exposed this may help get your foot in the door. Remember you can tell the agency that a particular job is not good for you but try not to be too picky (you don't want to make a mistake from a very short stint). I have had employees that got their start this way and have developed careers for 5+ years. Good Luck!

Try wahm (work at home moms). It's not just for moms. They have an abundance of work at home jobs listed on the message boards. Most are a call center setting in the comfort of home. Worth a shot.

Thanks,

I suggest you become a real estate broker for the meantime. No cash out, but you can earn by only using your gift of gab.
