I'd rather work 2nd shift if only because then I have at least *some* potential to be up and around in the daytime to *do things* seeing as how I can't exactly pay bills and run all of my errands at 3 a.m. and the like...
But 3rd shift has its merits, as has been mentioned. Hardly anyone bothers you. You can chill and still get paid, just so long as the job is done.
Yeah....saying this as someone who basically *can't* be up early in the mornings. Really. Last full time job I had I needed to make an ADA request (courtesy of my mood disorder) to *get* some flex-time and show up at 10 a.m., when my brain was actually *on* and coherent. For real. I've even had sleep studies done on me, I *don't* go into REM (dream) sleep until after dawn, so early mornings are kinda critical for me in terms of sleeping and keeping *some* mental function....
Pity nobody else on the planet gets this.

1st, but I'd take the 2nd one. The 3rd is often the grave yard shift, and it's out of the question for me.

i've worked all three 1st-being the fast,2nd-tying up first and 2nd 3rd real quiet but you sleep more during the day i would go with 1st shift now !

3rd because i am a night owl
2nd shift-you are basically waiting all day to go to work and the time flies by
1st- i find this to be true in most restaurants....it's dollar days from 6am-to 12 noon and most senior citizens give you 50 cents to dollar as a tip

Somewhere between 1st and 2nd would be great.
Could sleep in, but not work until the wee hours of the morning.
I also prefer reverse...nevermind, bad joke.

I have worked night shift all of my life, and I love it! If a job that I liked, and went for didnt have a third shift avaiable, then I wouldnt take the job!

I work 2nd because I am not a day person and where I work getting up to go to work for 6am is an issue for me

Third Shift. I couldn't get up in the mornings to work first shirt. I can stay up all night to work third ****. That way, you could sleep all during the day.

2nd, that way you still have time after work to hang with your friends for a little while and don't have to worry about waking up to late for work the next day.
