Being that Artificial Insemination is basically playing g-d, why are they allowed to let this happen to those that can't have children, and it not be considered immoral? Doesn't everything happen for a reason, and a reason these people can't have a child. So why interfer with mother nature?

Not the fact that it's a live baby, but the way that it was made. Its not natural. It wasn't conceived the way it should be. Ie. Man and Woman having intercourse. PLAYING G-D.. isn't that like cloning!? Instead of making an exact replica, you are just making a baby.

Actually, if you are catholic, the Pope is against it. According to the church's view, if you are not allowed to conceive naturally, that is God's will, and there is reason for it. So, to answer your question, they do view it as messing with the greater scheme of things. They also do not believe in birth control (in this day and age!), abortion, and equality for women in the church. I don't know how many catholics really follow that, but I personally think that they need to move with the times.

Definitely, abortion is immoral, not only it is against the catholic faith, that is if one is a roman catholic but it is harmful to the health of the woman after the procedure.
For artificial insemination, I don't believe that it immoral, well atleast it is better between married person or a single mother to have a artificial insemination done, than having an unwanted child with someone else. atleast the child will be assured that he or she is really wanted and loved by the person/s undergoing this procedure.

One creates and the other terminates, there is a big difference - and by the way, you do not have to be religious to consider abortion inhumane. As to your supporting argument, next time you get ill and know that you really need to see a doctor why don't you instead practice what you argue and just leave it to mother nature. The inability to conceive is just another medical problem these days, same as the flu... Personally though, I do take your point on artificial insemination and my instinct is that if the woman is barren, she should probably best stay that way.

I'm not a religious fanatic, but I consider abortion immoral because the bottom line is a dead baby.
With artificial insemination the bottom line is a live baby so how is that immoral?

Good question. But..
Are the two really alike? Abortion is murdering an unborn child. Artificial insemination is helping to create a child. One doesnt have to be a "fanatic" to see that abortion is murder.

Any Christian who takes the Bible seriously would never approve of artificial insemination. It's just like adultery, since two unmarried people are combining their gametes. This would be acceptable if a husband's sperm was frozen and used to fertilize his wife while they were married.
