I'm in my 30's and have had a love/ hate relationship with my birth name (as you can guess) all my life. My name causes a lot of confusion and I get so sick of it sometimes! I have been tossing around the idea of changing for probably 5 years. I'm open to ideas (this should be interesting!).

ask your self what you don't like about your call, then attempt to circumvent those features. you should probable change it to something with similar initials: Theresa, Tanya, Tracy, Thea. Or something reminiscent of the spectacular area of your modern call like Amy, Annie, Annette. Or use your center call. Be prepared that some human beings may no longer be mushy calling you by a clean call, so that you'll easily no longer be able to thoroughly rid your self of that call.

What is your name now? Do you hate it because of it's spelling? If so just change the spelling of it. If not I like Amily (like Emily only with an A). If I ever have a baby girl that is what I am going to name her.

It would be helpful to know what your given name is. However if you are really uncomfortable with it, get a baby name book and pick a new one that fits your personality. You have the advantage over a baby as you know what you are now and wouldn't have to grown into the name chosen for you at birth.
