Apparently this white guy used to babysit me for my mom when I was a kid. He is an old man now but when I saw him. I started to remember the nasty things he did to me. What should I do?

well....I think it would be a waste of time to try to explain the situation to other members of the family after all the time that has past....I think for your own personnel benefit, you need to take this guy aside, where you wont be interrupted...and tell him that you haven't forgotten about what he did to you.....what ever your feeling just let it out ...don't hit him though...he's not worth it.This isn't to get back at him..its more of a way to vent pent up emotions....and don't expect an apology from him..actually don't expect anything from him,if he trys to explain why he did it.. tell him to shut the f u c up and listen to you ,there is no excuse for what he did.. just be honest when you say whatever your feeling...you'll be the strong one, you'll feel much better for it...then maybe you might want to get some counselling from a proffesional..and finally it wasnt your fault you didnt do anything wrong......b/luck hugges and kisses to you

Unfortunately, child abuse is rampant in this country. A much higher incidence of it exists than is ever reported.

I imagine that you would have been just as happy if the memory had stayed repressed, but in order for you to become the person you are meant to be, it is now time to face it, and then put it behind you. There is a statute of limitations regarding prosecution. If you noted that this person is still in a position to do this to other children, then you should make the past known to your mother, and let her decide how to deal with it.

You have to acknowledge that it did happen, that since you were a child you had no control over the situation and hence were not responsible for it happening. A lot of sexually abused children go through massive guilt because some of the things done to them produced pleasurable feelings. They presume that they, themselves are bad for this reason. This is not so. Sexual stimulation was created to be pleasurable for a reason.... to guarantee the survival of the species.

Most people do need outside help to overcome the emotional stigma they carry from abuse, and if you do not feel that you can sufficiently rationalize and accept the fact that he was the adult and you were only a child... That he knew better.... then you should consider finding a support group where you can see that you are not the only one going through this, and find out what kind of help there is available in your area.

I hope you won't let this continue to fester within you.

fIRST OF ALL PRAY ABOUT IT GET SOME ADVICE FROM THE LORD HE CAN HELP YOU MOST NEXT DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH TIME HAS PASSED THERE ALWAYS COMES A POINT WHERE YOU HAVE TO FACE YOUR FEARS AND PAST. IF YOU ARE A STRONG ENOUGH WOMAN CONFRONT THE MAN WHO HARMED IN A HUMANE WAY LET HIM KNOW HE HURT YOU AND HE WILL PAY, NOW OR LATER. YOU TELL EVERYONE EMBARRASS HIS *** MAKE HIM SWEAT EVERYTIME HE LOOKS AT YOUR MOM OR SEES HER, BECAUSE HE KNOWS, SHE KNOWS, WHAT HE DID TO HER BABY. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP

I would talk to someone that I trust. If you are old enough and you want to confront him I would but not alone. And if you are not old enough (18+) TELL your parents immediatly. I have been threw this and the longer you wait the worse it will be. Good luck and god bless

Statute of limitations is past. Unfortunately, you can't take him to court. Seek counseling to make sure you deal with this okay... don't try to do this alone -- it's too hard.

Draw strength and knowledge from every negative experience you've ever had and use it to create a positive outcome for yourself.

Tell your mom, have someone on your side.
Press charges, put him in jail for awhile.
