Call him "Zero", after the Mitsubishi Zero fighter aircraft, or "Konishiki", after the 400lb. Hawaian-born former sumo champion, or "Tojo" after the WWII leader, hanged as a war criminal; or even "Hirohito", after the deceased Emperor himself.
You can go with "Faitaa", which is a Japanisation of "Fighter", or "Sakana", which merely means "fish". "Sashimi" is an elegant alternative to "Sushi". "Kenji" is a ubiquitous Japanese name.
"Tomo" is short Japanese for "friend", and "Chibi" means something like "runt" or "shrimp".

=) just kidding. give it a couple days to learn it's personality / any little quirks it may have. then you can go onto babynames.com and look up some asian-type names for it, that describe the fish.
