I had a boyfriend who died when I was 18, West Side Story", had just came out as a musical. The song, I believe Tony and Maria sang at the end, was one of the saddest song I have ever heard . "Somewhere There Is A Place For Us. A time and place for us," etc. I do believe if I heard it again, after all these years, I would cry like I was 18 again, even though I have been a happily married women for several years. PS If you don't know West Side Story it a take off on,"Romeo and Juliet". Good Luck

It's just another sad love song
Rackin' my brain like crazy
Guess I'm all torn up
Be it fast or slow
It doesn't let go
Or shake me
And it's all because of you
-Toni Braxton: Another Sad Love Song
Unrequited love's a bore, yeah
And I've got it pretty bad
But for someone you adore
It's a pleasure to be sad
-The Mamas and the Papas: Glad to Be Unhappy
Learn to lose, it's easier that way
We've paid our dues, but we can't make life pay
All across the world, people going mad
in their mother's cars, the kids are feeling sad
That's how it is, and I'll see you later
-Barenaked Ladies: Everything Old is New Again
Notice how her image saddens
How lonely she's become
Just once I'd like to see her happy
Before the winter comes
-The Carpenters: Eve
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder
You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older
And in the end you'll pack, fly down south
Hide your head in the sand
Just another sad old man
All alone and dying of cancer.
Pink Floyd: Dogs
