Warm a blanket and put it on your lap. Lay baby tummy-down on it, and slowly move her back and forth by swaying your legs. The heat feels nice on her, and it may help relieve the gas. Call the doc tomorrow and see if baby needs a script for Zantac. If she is spitting, it could be irritating her.

I feel for you. There is nothing worse then a crying baby and nothing you do will soothe them. Most of the time it is colic. You have already been giving gas meds. Some babies it does nothing for some it does. You could try putting the baby in a baby swing on slow, Play music loud that is soothing to them, Run a vaccuum cleaner. Put you t.v on a station that does not come in..that is called white noise and that also soothes them. Maybe a ride in the car. I hope one of these will help you. Don't worry and dont get frustrated it will go away. Good luck to you and your new baby.

If she has gas you can try laying the baby on her back and taking her legs and bending them slowly to her stomach, this might help her to pass the gas. If you need to get her to calm down you can ask the doctor about giving her a small dose of Tylenol. It could just be colic and that is a hard thing that both you and the baby have to go through. Good Luck

My son has this too. You need to take her to a doctor as soon as you can. It's called reflux and she probably has heartburn very bad. My son cried and cried until we were finally prescribed liquid Zantac. It helps relieve the heartburn. Unfortunately until that is healed she probably won't stop crying. Do you have insurance? If you do I would take her to urgent care or the ER. Either way she should have an ultrasound to make sure her two valves are working. To do this you'll have to feed her while they take the ultrasound to make sure she's digesting properly. I went to my doctor three times before they finally did something for him. I've found you pretty much have to go in and tell them they are going to check this for you. After you help her with her heartburn you need to get formula for babies who spit up a lot or add a tsp. of rice cereal to her breastmilk. You do need to be very patient with her. I remember how frustrating it was. You will get through this!!!!!!!!

Lay her across your legs while patting her back, rubbing in circles. Get that gas out.

If that don't work maybe put her in a lukewarm bath. See if that helps or even take a bath with her.

Probably have to change what you are feeding her. Probably the formula. If you are breastfeeding. THINK of what you have been eating lately. SOMETHING gassy probably that didn't agree with her system!

If in doubt call your doctor OR Emergency room & talk with one of the nurses! They can usually give you some suggestions over the phone to try.

When our son had some similar problems, we swtiched to Good Start soy formula. For the longest time it was the only kind of formula he could withstand. It really did have to be Good Start, too. Don't get anything with iron (if possible) if she's having big problems with constipation. She could also have colic (no, I don't know exactly what colic is, and I'm not sure anyone is sure of what it is). Something that soothed our son when he had colic was holding him so that his belly was about where my husband's wrist was (I was too small to hold him this way, and he was a pretty big baby) and his head rested at about his elbow. At times it was the only way we could get him to stop crying.

First, have you called the doctor? I hope the gas meds you gave her are what the pediatrician prescribed. If not, call the doctor right now!! I used to lay my baby on her tummy across my lap and pat her gently on the back and that would help her pass the gas.

Take her to your nearest hospital/ emergency room. Then in the morning call your child's pediatrician immediately and have her be seen. You need to remain patient and loving, she's only able to communicate with you in this way. She may be having a reaction to the formula, your doctor should make that decision, she may have acid reflux, being so small there could be a simple or not so simple explanation. She may need at the moment a 1/4 tsp. or less of mylanta.

IS their any underlying reason for her crying is she sick? Does she have a fever? Rule these out first.
Does she just need cradling? Have you tried the blanket wrap? Have you tried taking her for a pram ride? Does a bath sooth her with a face washer on her belly? If she gets too much take a breather outside. If she has gas bad their are a few tricks to burping her and also the bicycle leg thing or the gentle bounce to sooth her pain.

Shes probably allergic to her milk. You need to take her to her doctor, or she may be constipated, sometimes that will make you throw up. You can try half apple juice half water, it worked for my son. But still take her to the Dr because if she keeps spitting up, it may make her dehydrated. You would know if she isnt having enough wet diapers. You can try a warm bath, rubbing her belly and her back too. Good luck

Ok gas medicines can make a baby not be able to pass gas... try a fourth of a dropper of Mylanta instead. To get her to stop crying try a warm bath. I'm telling you though, Mylanta saved me with my son... he had the same problems...If you are having problems with constipation try putting a small amount of dark Karo syrup in her bottle, it works wonders!!! They changed my sons formula to lactofree... he's a totally different baby and he also has reflux... but the mylanta has taken care of that for the most part!!
