Just use protection.

Hey...you meant for pregnancy ..right?...if it was.. there are few cases where the women get pregnant even during the menstrual period. Now ..the question is how.....? It is studied that a sperm can survive up to 7 days..any where in the vaginal canal..some how. But ..this is rarely happens.

Now on the other hand for sexual protection you obviously need a condom always.....there is no consideration at al.

Trust me ...I am a physician.

I got pregnant around then. Not as likely to happen usually but it did. you can have sex the day after your period ends. Sex is never safe, even watched something last night about the fact that a man's penis CAN break and happens more often than we think. STD's can happen at anytime during your cycle as can pregnancy. Even when on your period

Ignore the boy. It is never 'safe' to have sex without protection, unless you are trying to have a baby, and are in a monogamous relationship where both partners are clean of disease.
