I don't think it is a masturbation song that some have speculated. It reminds me of my teenage daughter who can't understand why I would ever wake her up before noon during the summer, or why I don't buy her a convertible.

Basically it's what the title suggests. To me, it was an 80s anthem to young girls everywhere (yours truly included)
