If you wish to have more that a listing of names, I suggest you read Tacitus (c. 56 – c. 117) for detailed information on the early Empire. He was used extensively by Graves in writting I, Claudius. For the later empire read Gibbon's The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. This covers the period from 180 AD. It details many additional figures such as prominent senators.

Go to Wikipedia and search for Roman Emperor (Principate). It lists each emperor and the time of their reign. There are also links to each individual ruler's wikipedia page where I'm sure you'll find all the information you'll need. Good luck!
