I don't think so. After seeing girls all day, every day, they'd probably want a guy. I think most girls kind of know their sexual preference by the time they finish high school, so college is probably just a good time to try and find a partner, in which case lesbians might go to an all girls college. Or other girls that are straight, want to forget about guys and relationships in order to focus on getting their career started, so they might go to an all girls school to get away from the temptation of men and focus on their own successes before looking for a relationship.

I really think that it depends on the women's college. My mom went to a small women's college in South Carolina and it is EXTREMELY conservative, so lesbianism was looked down upon.
I don't think that any college is a "breeding ground" for gay activity- people are either born gay or they are not. They don't convert the moment they set foot on campus. Perhaps women's colleges have more lesbians attending them than other colleges, but women's colleges certainly don't convert women into lesbians.
Women's colleges do have a lot of feminists (who frequently happen to be pro choice because they believe in the woman's right to control her own body). I don't think that has anything to do with lesbianism, though.

No, not at all. Even the "feminism" isn't necessarily that strong - I taught at one for six years. Some students who go there were sent by their parents to keep them cloistered; some are there so that they don't have to compete with men (but that doesn't mean anything more than that), some plan to work for their fathers upon graduation, and some actually go to a women's college to get a husband! - Let me explain that last one - by attending a highbrow school (most women's colleges are rather elitist), the girls hope to meet guys at elite men's and coed schools. They come from all sorts of backgrounds, but since the schools are private, they're willing to go into deeper debt than if they went to a public institution. So ... they're pretty much a mixed bunch, like all women in society.

Actually. most lesbians are fully developed in high school. This is where they learn to strut, swear, get used to short hair, wear mens clothes, and decide which style of logger boots they like best. All of this takes time. By the time they get to college, they have all this perfected, and they can presumably concentrate on their fields of study, which is generally police science, firefighting, or physical education. Sure there are a few rough edges that will still need need work. For example, they need to find some stylish rings for their right hand, and maybe acquire a few tatoos. This can be done in the evening, after class. Then they need to adopt new spellings for old words, such as "kewl", "gyrl" and the like. So usually by the time they are 20 or so, they are ready to go out into the world and start protesting for womens rights, gay rights, animal rights, women only colleges, to demand to be let into mens locker rooms, and to decide which sport they will unsuccessful try play like a man. Then they disperse all over the country, making things better for everyone. I hope this helps.

Right-wing idiots start rumors like this. College helps people find out who they are. It seems like there are more lesbians on college campuses because smarter, more well-informed women are usually more comfortable with their sexuality, so lesbians will freely admit to being lesbians.

They say "A sugar eater will find sugar somehow"
So no, women's colleges have nothing to do with lesbianism.
Homo's are born... not turned.
So its not because of women's colleges, its just their nature.
