It depends on the reason, but mostly...You can't.
If somebody stops loving or doesn't want to be with you (for whatever reason) then you owe it to yourself to move on - however difficult it may be. If you remain in the relationship your crushed heart will wither and your eyes will grow bitter with resentment. The longer it goes on, the worse it will get, feeding upon itself until ultimately it consumes you.
Is this what you want?
Sure - you can try and save it, but I know from experience that
fixing a marriage is like gluing china - No matter how good a job you do, the cracks will always be there.

If both parties still care and love each other but don't get along then relate or marriage counselling.
If one person is saying I don't love you anymore, I want to be somewhere else. I don't think there is anything you can actually do other than get up everyday and keep on going on with your life.
Marriage has to be worked on. If there is anything that can be changed (within reason) to save a marriage then it is worth considering.

well that depends on a lot of things, like can you save it? Are you still in love and just going over the same problems or has one of you had an affair? the important question is do you BOTH want to save it? if this is the case then i think marriage counselling is a good idea, your G.P can point you in the right direction. If its one sided then im afraid theres not much you can do, you can t make someone stay with you. Its a difficult one without more details.

Hi Elsa
Don't know anything about your specific situation so it is hard (and dangerous!) to offer specific advice.
But I'm going thru the same thing, caused by usual stuff, no time for each other, kids etc. We had some time apart and that seems to have worked, we are now back together and in counselling (Relate).
Hope this helps and good luck, especially if you have kids involved as well.

That is the question I need to be asking, going through the same thing. First you need to try counseling, it helps put everything out in the open. then secondly you need to make time for yourselves as a couple then yourselves then children if any are involved. You must be willing to give 100% to the marriage, comprise, trust, if you can say that you gave it 100% then all you can do is let go, if it was meant to be it will be if not, its best to move on.
Good luck, I can only imagine what you are going through, I have two small toddlers involved.

That's really a loaded question. There's no way to answer it without more info. It can often be done, but only if BOTH people are willing to really work at it and stick it out. If one person just wants out and isn't willing, it's probably going to end, sorry to say.

You both have to go back to the first time you met.
Remeber the first moments of meeting eyes to eyes.
Rekindle in the first touches.
Focus on your sexy needs from day one.
Go back to your first date!
And start dating again. Put the kids up at least once a month. Make it a date night. Once a month. Just the two of ya'll.

both people have to give up whatever is in the way of being honest and intimate. both people have to want to fix it. get things right with God-go to the alter and pray for strength, reconcilation, forgiveness, and healing. start investing time in the relationship.
if you both want this to work bad enough, you will succeed, however, you cannot make someone love you-they choose what they choose. if only one side wants to fix it, things do not look good, all you can do then is pray.
